Then there’s this asshole.

I remember a LOT of people had the headcanon that this was actually Gaius’ kid, which I think is a misreading of the joke (but kind of a telling one, in the same ep as Caprica’s miscarriage).

This is another scene that really gets at the contradictory nature of GBalt, though. I love how both his petty self-serving side and genuine kindness come through within the same scene. ‘Cause the look on his face when he asks Little Gaius if he’s hungry is so real, so worrying over this kid who could be his own, or a child-sized him. Yet meanwhile there’s the giddily insincere bastard part of him that just wants to one-up Paulla and make a big show of his good shepherd-ness. It’s a rare time his dueling motivations intersect.

Browsing through the page of someone who recently liked one of my posts reminded me of how much I love Battlestar Galactica. Seeing all of these actors during the height of the show’s popularity was such a treat. The first three photos are from NY Comic Con 2008 and the other six are from the following year. For that second year, the panel pictured above took place the day after a very big episode that involved an airlock.

The best moment from this experience was when, at the end of the panel, Michael Hogan came up to the front of the stage and the audience engaged in a call and return of “so say we all” with him. It was probably the most geeked-out moment of my life.

We have a apper gentleman in slow-walking style, mm hmm. The stubble on his face sort of amounts to a goatee though, not sure if it’s a “he’s a villain” thing. I haven’t actually seen the episode yet, so I’ll suspend my judgement. 

I GOT TO SEE ALL OF MY FAVORITE FACES ON TV THIS WEEK AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME.
